Teacher Training Leadership Team
Katie Wetzel
Katie has been practicing yoga since 2012 when she bought a special issue of Women’s Health Magazine that introduced her to the physical practice. Since moving to Atlanta in 2018, she has pursued yoga on a personal and professional level, becoming RYT-500 certified, quitting her corporate job, and dedicating her energy to sharing the power of movement and mindfulness with others. Katie encourages practicing curiosity, and teaches movement and yoga as tools to enrich the lived experience. She loves to geek out on anatomy, philosophy, and the context of how yoga has expanded over time.
Lisa Wolff
Lisa aspires to create spaces where people can safely express themselves fully and flow in the current of love and abundance. They started practicing yoga in 2015 when working as lawyer for those facing the death penalty throughout Georgia and working towards some significant personal healing. A forever student, Lisa was hungry to learn more about the practice that helped deeply transform their life and attended their first teacher training in 2019. Having since participated in many teacher training programs as a student and facilitator, Lisa is grateful to support others hone their own inner teacher.
Ally Laforrest
Ally's yoga journey began in 2015 when she became one of Highland Yoga's first students. She practiced at Highland Yoga for two years before earning her Yoga Teacher Training Certification in 2017. After Teacher Training, Ally undertook deep inner work to prepare herself to teach Deep Stretch in 2019 and HY Power Flow in 2021. Ally knows that her inner work and self-study are the secret gems she offers in guiding others through teacher training. She really want to hone in on what lights people up about yoga and help them share that authentically!
Shannon Jackson
Shannon has been a student and teacher of yoga for over a decade. She brings her passion for this practice into each class and training. Shannon is so grateful that teaching yoga provides an opportunity for her to be of service. Teaching yoga gets her out of her mind and focused on other people. Being a yoga teacher forces her to be present and show up as her best self. There’s no greater gift other than sharing that knowledge.
