Back in 2014, Heather walked into a yoga studio on a Groupon deal without the slightest clue. Riddled with depression and anxiety from working a corporate job at the time, she couldn’t believe how much relief she felt after just one class. With a BFA in theatre and a decade of acting experience behind her, she realized how yoga could support her artistry in regards to breath and body awareness. She began to incorporate it as a daily ritual. Inspired by the many mental and physical benefits of a consistent yoga practice, Heather decided to complete her 200 hour training at Loom Yoga + Fitness while living in Brooklyn, NY. 

 

By utilizing mindful intention, pranayama, and asana, Heather playfully guides her students through challenging but rewarding sequences. She strives to provide a safe and empowering space for all walks of life, while offering gentle reminders to find joy in the present moment. She hopes students will leave her class feeling refreshed, strong, and in total ownership of their worth.

 

When she’s not in the studio, Heather dedicates her time to acting endeavors and managing Airbnb spaces. She is also a certified health coach and forever cat lady.
