After a year of struggling with an eating disorder and body dysmorphia, Chelsea began practicing yoga on New Years Day in 2019. Yoga philosophy and asana helped teach her about self-compassion. After a year and a half of consistent practice, Chelsea took a leap of faith inspired by the COVID-19 pandemic and received initial YTT200 certification from SeviinYoga in Atlanta, GA in December 2020. After teaching for several months, Chelsea wanted to continue to learn more and further deepen her teaching skills. She had been attending Highland since Summer 2019 and loved the studio's energy and mission. Thus, she embarked on a second YTT experience at Highland Yoga and received her certification in December 2021.
Chelsea's very passionate about inclusivity, accessibility, and diversity within yoga. Outside of work, Chelsea is passionate about fitness, food, family, and friends.
